Where Should We Eat

Krupp Brothers Wine Dinner at Sea Salt

Sea Salt hosted another of its fabulous interactive Skype wine dinners on July 22.  Dr. Krupp, the vintner, talked with the group live from California via Skype.  He took us through a tasting of six of his wines (one white and five red) and described the vineyard, the history and the challenges he had establishing his vineyard in such a remote ...

La Sandwicherie

Worked hard last week visiting lots of Miami restaurants for my next edition.  Just to prove that a restaurant doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive to be in my book, here’s one of my favorite casual places– La Sandwicherie.

You will find variations of these two dishes on menus everywhere with slightly different names. The originals proved so popular because they were unique and delicious, and each was ...

Farm to Table – Eat Local!

The Farm to Table or “eat local” movement is very popular in restaurants around the world, but has been implemented in a very limited way in Naples. Until now. Basically the two movements are exactly as advertised, eating locally grown food, which means less impact on the environment through transporting food over long distances, supporting local farmers (usually organic farmers), ...
